No matter how many times I see an elephant, I am always in awe of their strong majestic grace and the finesse in which they carry themselves. So late one afternoon when I came upon this giant gently resting his head against a tree, it gave me Goosebumps. In all the time that I’ve been watching elephants, I have never seen this before. I grabbed my camera anxiously, thinking that as soon as he became aware of the noise of my landrover that he would awaken. But I needn’t have worried, because he continued to sleep, as if posing for me to get the shot I’d been waiting for. Maybe it was just me, but in that instant I felt as though some earthly connection had taken place and I was its only spectator and for that I was truly grateful.
