Class 44 Orchard Services is part of the Trademark Classes series 2009-2014. There was a series of 8 classes with the initial group printed at size 1000 x 618m. This size is of the ‘Golden Section’ where you take a square from the rectangle and are left with a rectangle that you can take a square from and are left with a rectangle... ad infinitum. Billy used this ratio in many of his works. This work is of the same proportions but reduced to a more domestic scale, it was made using the same printing techniques as were a number of Billy’s works in the 2000’s.
