Voted by the public in 2007 as New Zealand’s greatest painting, International Art Centre is delighted to offer a Glorious Digital Release of Rita Angus' Cass. Rita Angus’ Cass NFT will be offered for sale at a timed auction on the International Art Centre App and bidding platform. The online auction runs for five days closing 6:00pm Thursday 17 March. This NFT will carry the provenance of the first Glorious Masterpiece NFT to be auctioned by public sale. Cass was released as an edition of 12 and is presented in a 4k resolution on a Samsung 64" Frame TV and a composition from Dr Quentin Angus, jazz musician and great nephew to Rita Angus. The image and television is on view in our Parnell Road window. This is the first artwork ( in association with the artist's estate ) to be offered for sale as an NFT and International Art Centre is delighted to be the auction house of choice to host the auction. Glorious represents the Rita Angus Estate (the copyright holders) directly in the creation of this NFT and is not affiliated with the Christchurch Art Gallery.
